OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE MISSIONARY CENACLE

Our missionaries in Tallahassee, Florida, cover a lot of ground!  Our three-man team — Fathers Raúl Ventura and Raymond Calixte, and Brother Arturo Quezada — serve the Spanish-speaking Catholics in six different parishes in the dioceses, some of them two hours away.  Every Monday night, for instance, one of them will drive to DeFuniak Springs to celebrate Mass, lead a Holy Hour or hold a Bible Study, arriving back home around midnight.    Your gifts certainly go a long way to keep our gas tanks full and our missionaries on the road.  Without your help, serving this far-flung mission would be next to impossible!

In return, the people we serve are very grateful for your help and the many ways we help the neediest among them.  As a sign of their gratitude, they arranged a Mass of Thanksgiving recently at St. Eugene Chapel in Tallahassee.  Everyone gathered and shared their love and appreciation for our missionaries and their many good works.  Father Raúl gave a beautiful homily in which he encouraged everyone to let themselves be led by the Hand of God.

Your friendship represents the “Hand of God” to us.  Your continued interest and support of our work keeps us going – it lifts us up and reminds us that we are just a small part of a  much bigger picture.
