Sacred Heart Catholic Community Declare 2009 the Year of Housing
Last summer the people of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Camden, Mississippi, lost one of its beloved members. Andrew Palmer was a kind and distinguished elderly gentleman who came devotedly to church every Sunday. His preventable death due to heat stroke has inspired everyone to rally together to improve the living conditions of the poor, and especially the elderly of the community.
Bicycles Change Lives in Guamal, Colombia
Father Gilberto wants to buy bicycles – a lot of bicycles! His mission in Guamal, a small town in Colombia, South America, has 22 small communities making up the parish. Most are accessible only by primitive dirt roads. Many families live miles from the school. Those who are better off have a donkey to take them back and forth; others have bicycles. Read more…

Celebrate! Four Ordained in 2008
This year, four young men were ordained Missionary Servant priests! Four young men whom you and others have helped support through the long years of formation, both with your donations and your prayers. When Fathers Jener, Hermith and Rafael were ordained on May 31st in Colombia, and when Father Rigoberto was ordained on June 14th in El Salvador, you can be sure that they lifted you up in prayer. Without the generosity of friends like you, these four faithful men would never have received the education needed to be ordained.
