Father
Alvaro Pío González, S.T.
Birthday:
October 6, 1971
Hometown:
Corozál, a small city in Colombia
Father Alvaro Pío was born October
6, 1971, in Corozál, a small city in Colombia. During
his early school years he was active in parish youth groups,
in particular, a group dedicated to the Holy Infancy, which
did local missionary work. When he heard about Trinity Missions,
he was immediately attracted to our missionary style of working
with the laity. In 1996, he entered Trinity Missions
House of Formation in Costa Rica. After completing our novitiate
and his Philosophy and Theology courses, he was ordained on
May 10, 2003, in Colombia. His first priestly mission assignment
is in Tallahassee, Florida.
Father Alvaro Pío knows that his education was made
possible by our benefactors and as he looks forward to working
with the laity he feels he will be working also with our benefactors
so that they, along with him and the people of the missions,
will together be establishing Christs Church in remote
corners of the vineyard.
